Building from the legacy of CatEye’s massively popular Strada Slim computer, the CatEye Strada Smart Package Bike Computer takes the Slim’s thin profile and large screen, adds Bluetooth functionality for communication with your smartphone, and bundles a wireless cadence/speed sensor. Mirror mode provides the option of pairing it with your smartphone for functionality with popular cycling apps, while Sensor Direct relies solely on the included cadence/speed sensor. Using Mirror mode, the CatEye Strada Smart wirelessly communicates with the CatEye Cycling App or Strava via Bluetooth. It’s available for both iPhones and Android devices (check on CatEye’s site for recommended devices/compatibility). Mirror mode records ride-savvy metrics with your smartphone’s CatEye App, wirelessly transmitting data to the Strada Smart’s display for real-time tracking. Watch your cadence, speed, and altitude (via your phone’s GPS) in real-time. You’ll also receive email and phone notification icons, as well as a post-ride map and graph summary for in-depth analysis. As a battery-saving bonus, your phone remains in sleep mode during its tracking efforts to prevent it from dying mid-ride. Sensor Direct mode works without a smartphone, pairing exclusively with the included cadence/speed sensor, as well as optional heart rate monitor and power sensor (both sold separately). This mode tracks your speed, cadence, heart rate (with separate monitor), and power output (with separate meter). It also provides a ride summary with a date-stamp, elapsed time, and overall trip distance. Moreover, average and maximum values are provided for all of your riding stats in both Mirror and Sensor Direct modes.
